Back to business

Today I got back to the usual YWAM DTS activities.

After Quiet Time, where I finished off reading the book "Spiritual Warfare for Every Christian", we continued our lecture series on Relationships. Today we looked at how infatuation happens, but that does not equal love, and how we can not depend on feelings, as they can change too. As a class we listed several things that love is (for example, the list in 1 Corinthians 13), and also discussed what it is not (i.e. loving up to a point, then letting your own agenda rule). We also looked at "The 5 Love Languages":
  • Words
  • Time
  • Thoughtful acts
  • Physical
  • Giving/receiving gifts
and one extra: Humour.

We went on to talking about dating relationships, how to approach them, and good ideas for what to do in them.

After that, we prayed for our outreaches - teams going to India praying for those going to Poland, and those going to Poland praying for those going to India. Some good news: everyone in Team India now has their visas except one person, so please continue praying for them!

After Community Care we had another meeting about our outreaches. Here we talked about the customs, dress, worldviews and other such matters in Indian society. It was quite informative.

After dinner (yay, I managed to keep it down!), them men's small group went to a local pub to meet and talk about relationships.

It has been a quite full and tiring day. I'm glad I'm back with everyone now though.
